I am a radiologist and epidemiologist (MSc Epidemiology 2012; Medicine 2014) with a strong background in translational research. I have combined my specialist training in Radiology at the LUMC with a PhD research track (May 2015 - June 2020), for which I was awarded the Frederik Philips Prize for best Radiological PhD thesis in the Netherlands (2021).

My research is focused on technical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) development and population-based imaging studies, in particular in relation to obesity and cardio-renal axis. Currently, I am combining my work as a postdoctoral researcher with clinical work as a staff radiologist at the LUMC.

My aim is to improve clinical care for patients by developing and implementing novel diagnostic techniques, with a special focus on obesity and cardiorenal health.
